Balloons over Horseshoe Bay

Saturday we headed to the Balloons over Horseshoe Bay festival and had a really nice afternoon and evening. The weather was perfect and there were enough activities and shows to keep the kids entertained. We caught a magic show, the Safari Greg animal show, a gyrocopter, a motorized hang glider, skydivers, hot air balloons (not in flight), and live music. They do the hot air balloon flights early in the morning.

The evening show was supposed to feature a bunch of hot air
balloons inflated and illuminated at dusk. About 5 or 6 of the
balloons inflated but it was too windy to keep them inflated long.

Tyler liked Purple People Eater.

Since they couldn't illuminate the hot air balloons,
the pilots put on a pyro show instead.

Ed Kowalczyk (former lead singer of Live) put on a fantastic
show to cap off the evening. He played songs off his solo
albums as well as Live albums. Tyler said the concert was his
favorite part of the festival. Daphne liked the animal show best.

Completely wiped out!
