Brad & Megan- House Hunting Day 3

On Day 3 of the house hunt Michael and I took the kids to a splash pad for some summertime fun. Apparently Tyler is too old for splash pads and so he sat and watched. There were tons of little kids! And while we had fun with the kids Brad and Megan bought a house.

Penny bonded with Uncle Michael.

Daphne & Hazel explored all the water features.

Penny experienced the water on her own
terms- a hand and a leg in the water
from time to time

Brad & Megan- House Hunting Day 2

My brother Brad, his wife Megan, and our nieces Hazel and Penelope are moving to Austin soon. They came into town about a week and a half ago to look for houses. They took the girls house hunting with them on the first day since Michael and I were both working. I was off on Friday so I met up with some friends for bounce time at Hoppin' House and for pizza.

When Penny first climbed this slide
Matthew was holding onto the side. She
told him, "Move! Baby!" Apparently
Brad and Megan say, "Move Bumblebee!"
to their dog quite a bit.

Sea World Cub Scout Overnight

Last weekend, we spent the night at Sea World in San Antonio with Tyler's cub scout pack. And of course, it was a record-setting hot weekend: 104 on Saturday and 102 on Sunday. We got to do some fun behind-the-scenes tours, caught some shows, did some rides, and slept indoors next to the shark aquarium. And by slept, I mean that lights out was at midnight and they woke us up at 6 am. The kids slept and Michael and I felt like we slept for about 10 minutes and since they didn't allow air mattresses we were pretty sore from the hard floor. But we did have a lot of fun!

Flamingos!

Daphne particularly loved seeing all the animals

The orca show
Since we were at Sea World as part of an organized group trip, they reserved seats for us at the orca show and at the Extreme Hydro Power Show, which featured a rock band (late 80s/early 90s), speed boats, water skiiers, wakeboarders, jet skis, and fireworks. The following morning we got to see some of the exhibits before the park opened to the public.

The beluga whales were super sweet and curious about us

We ended the official group trip at the entry sign
We opted to buy a pass to check out the rides and more of Sea World on Sunday. Since it was so hot, we decided to ride the two water rides first to cool down in the water.

Drenched but happy

Daphne loves carousels. This one was decked
out with Sesame Street characters.

Not sure which character this is!
