Now that Hazel and Penny live nearby, we can have more sleepovers.

Flight Fest

We went to Flight Fest at our local library this weekend. Austin Parks & Rec brought in a bird show. They also had stations where you could make your own kite and then fly it.

Kindergarten Hoe Down

Earlier this week was the Kindergarten Hoe Down. Many of the kids, Daphne included, dressed in western wear for the occasion. The kids sang songs they learned in music class and danced or did hand motions to many. Songs included things like Deep in the Heart of Texas, the Chicken Dance, the Hokey Pokey, and I Walk the Lonesome Trail.

SXSW Gaming

Michael and Tyler caught one of the gaming exhibits during South by Southwest.

Out and About with Daphne

Daphne loves Chick Fil A- more specifically
the fries and play structure

Daphne gets excited by all the bluebonnets and
other wildflowers in bloom right now.

sometimes with toys in tow

Family Fun

More photos from hanging out with the Hulett's during spring break... We mostly tried to lay low.

Penny

Brad, Bryce, and Michael got in quite a few games of ping pong.

Sorry!

Too busy eating ice cream cookie sandwiches to smile!

Movie and popcorn time!
They all seemed to enjoy watching Jumanji.

Lots of art time! If I had a nickel for every time somebody
asked me to print a coloring page I would be rich.

Pedernales Falls State Park

We spent a day at Pedernales State Park, which was a major win because all the kids enjoyed it as well as the adults. The kids really liked climbing on all the many rocks and searching for cool things like caves. It was cooler in the morning but it warmed up enough in the afternoon to put our feet in the river.

Exploring a cave

Daphne loved this little cave. She would have
hung out there all day if we let her.

Noah popped out first. The kids all took turns crawling

Michael hiked over to this outcropping with Tyler, Noah, and
Damon, who really wanted to go explore the cave opening.

PawPaw (the red speck) hiked along too but
hung back and didn't go up the steep part.
