Christmas Baking

Daphne helping Michael make pie

Decorating sugar cookies for Santa

Santa's cookies: a gingerbread man and a bell. I told Tyler he should
pick a smaller cookie because Santa gets lots of cookies on
Christmas Eve. Tyler replied, "What if he stops at our house first?"

Tree Skirt's Final Adventures

December 19: A little Nutella snack/mustache

December 20: Running surveillance on Tyler & Daphne

December 21: Tree Skirt hijacked the kids' Rolos and left
a note that only people on the nice list can eat them.

December 22: Maple syrup fix

December 23: All wrapped up

December 24: Zip-lining across the second floor using a candy cane

December 15: Swinging over
the kitchen table

December 16: Sledding in the dining room

December 17: Tree Skirt wrapped
the Christmas tree in toilet paper

December 18: Picnic on Daphne and Tyler's favorite blankets
and with some of their favorite stuffed animals

Baby it's NOT Cold Outside

The high temperatures have been in the 60s and so it hasn't felt much like the holidays yet. But it has definitely been great weather for getting outside. Yesterday when Tyler got home from school we biked to the library and then to the park. It's hard to beat that!

D-A-P-H-N-E

Daphne has been able to spell her name verbally for a few months. But now she has letter recognition and is able to write her name because of all the handwriting they have been doing at school. Daphne is very excited about writing her name.

Bobcat Badge

Tyler earned his first Cub Scout badge, The Bobcat, this week. The Bobcat was all about learning the cub scout law, oath, motto, sign, salute, and handshake as well as general safety (stranger danger, online etiquette).

Miscellaneous San Antonio

Having fun with Tia Ludy

A mini golf hole through a cave?
Embassy Mini Golf rocks!

I'm not sure who schooled who

December 12: Tree Skirt spruced up our hotel room
with a teeny tiny Christmas tree

December 13: Tree Skirt added another Christmas tree to our
hotel room using building supplies Tyler had brought with him.

San Antonio Riverwalk

Checking out Christmas decorations with Tia Ludy

We played tourist and took a boat tour on the Riverwalk

All the women enjoyed shopping along the Riverwalk while
Tyler was more interested in the waterfalls and other features.

Ranch Wedding

Other than taking a 9-month old Tyler to my brother's wedding, this was the first wedding we have taken the kids to. I must say that if you are going to bring kids to a wedding then a ranch wedding is the way to go. Tyler was excited that there was ladderball, bean bag toss, and horseshoes while Daphne loved running in the open fields.

Congratulations Larissa & Vickie!
