Mother's Day and Maker's Faire

I had a very nice Mother's Day. We went out to brunch with Michael's parents and then we went to the Maker Faire at the Palmer Event Center. The Maker Faire had lots of cool stuff- drone races, tons of robotics (hands on and demonstrations), power tool drag racing, arts and crafts, etc.

Buda Wiener Dog Races

Last weekend we went to Buda's 20th annual Wiener Dog Races. In addition to a racetrack set up in City Park, there was a festival set up in the park with inflatables, activities, food, and vendors. We enjoyed it all!

End of Soccer Season

Tyler's soccer season wrapped up this past weekend. As always he loved playing and is already looking forward to a week of soccer camp this summer and returning to the same team in the fall.

2nd Grade Music Performance

Last week the second grade put on a music performance about the earth. The kids wore earth tone shades of blue, green, and brown although quite a few of them, Tyler included, chose neon/lime green as their green tone. Each song also had dance moves or hand movements. Tyler did great. He opted not to try out for a speaking role where the kids told us facts about the earth in between songs or a rapping part during the rap song. The kids put on 3 performances- two during the day for the other grades and one in the evening for the parents.
