All the cousins agree that marshmallows are yummy. My dad got a fire pit last year and the kids love roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. Although they still need lots of supervision, Tyler and Noah are getting the hang of roasting. The smaller kids need lots of help except for Damon, who just likes to eat the marshmallows straight out of the bag.

Too Many Monkeys in My Bed!
Lately the kids have been climbing into our bed in the middle of the night. We have decided that the later Michael or I stay up, the higher the likelihood that one or both kids will climb into our bed shattering all hope of a good night's sleep. I recently thought I was being smart by climbing into Tyler's empty bed for some peaceful sleep. Then 15 minutes later Tyler and Michael turned on the light, which woke me up. It turns out neither of them could sleep and so they decided to go ahead and get Tyler ready for school. This was a good hour before Tyler's alarm was supposed to go off. I ended up climbing into Michael's side of our bed because Daphne had completely taken over my side.

Hoe Down
The week before last, all the kindergarten classes at Tyler's school put on a hoe down in the cafeteria. The cuteness was overwhelming!
I stopped buying Tyler jeans because he never wears them. We did find a western shirt in his wardrobe and his old cowboy hat he had given to Daphne.
Each class performed within a circle.

Perot Museum of Nature and Science
We spent an afternoon in Dallas at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, which is really well done and worth a visit for all ages.

There were tons of interactive exhibits for kids and adults.
This was one of several larger interactive exhibits.
Chris and Tyler raced a virtual cheetah.
The cheetah clocked in around 19.5 mph while
Chris and Tyler were in the 3 - 6 mph range.

Horsing Around
Daphne loved meeting Angie's horse Shaq and really enjoyed feeding him treats.
It rained most of the time we were visiting so we didn't get a chance to ride Shaq. Daphne particularly enjoyed that Shaq would come near the house and watch her eat breakfast.
Tyler brought his remote control car and Chris broke out his Kitt and General Lee cars.
The circular driveway was a great place to drive the remote control cars.
