Grand Floral Parade

Tyler loves parades and was excited to go to the Grand Floral Parade on Saturday. Tyler liked the marching bands and eating cotton candy. Daphne loved waving back at anyone that was waving and really liked the horses. She squealed in delight when the Clydesdale horses went by.
While Tyler and Michael were exploring before
the parade, Daphne made herself at home in
Tyler's chair and tried to drink his water.

Comfy seats? Check. Snacks? Check? Beverages? Check.
All ready for the parade!

Splash Pad

We hit our first splash pad of the summer. Of course I forgot that the parks near Teresa's house have splash pads and forgot to bring bathing suits. So Tyler borrowed a pair of Jack's athletic shorts and I let Daphne run around in her diaper. Daphne didn't play in the water too long. I think it was a little cold for her and she wasn't wild about getting sprayed randomly. Tyler and Viola had a blast though.

Tyler and Viola got a kick out of Jack sitting in Daphne's
car seat and making faces in the baby mirror.

Equal Treatment

Daphne thinks she can do anything that Tyler does and has been demanding equal treatment. She squealed angrily at me the other morning because her dry cereal was on her high chair tray while Tyler was eating his cereal out of a bowl. She perked right up when I put her cereal in a bowl and gave her a spoon. Then Daphne happily held the spoon and used her free hand to eat her cereal. My baby is growing up too fast!

At the Park with Calvin and Lilith

The boys raced in circles around the playground on their bikes.

Daphne climbs on anything she can on the playground.

Thankfully Daphne decided the bars
were too difficult to climb.

Racing down the slides

Playing the chimes

It doesn't seem that long ago that Tyler and Calvin were this
age playing these same chimes. Where does the time go?

At the Arcade

Tyler loves skee ball. I think Daphne
handled just about every ball before
Tyler took it out for rolling.

Daphne was upset when I stopped
putting tokens in the carousel.

Bebe schooling Tyler in air hockey.

Tyler was happy to get his air hockey fix.

Elaine helped Daphne get in on the action too.

My Kitchen Helpers

When Tyler helps in the kitchen Daphne wants to help too. So while making French toast this weekend, I gave her a stool, empty bowl, and a measuring spoon so she could feel like she was helping out.

Are cool and pretty mutually exclusive?

Yesterday Tyler told me that boys can be cool but not pretty and girls can be pretty but not cool. I told him that I thought I was pretty cool. And so Tyler told me that women can be pretty and cool.
