Waaaaaaaaaaaa! Separation Anxiety

Daphne has been going through separation anxiety and has been pretty attached to me lately. Last week and this week she wails when I leave her at daycare. Talk about a guilt trip! Apparently she also wails when one of her two main teachers goes on break and another teacher fills in. Hopefully this is a brief phase.

Beer Sprinkler

The other night Michael was pouring wine into a glass through an aerator. Tyler said, "That looks like a beer sprinkler." [Tyler thinks beer and wine are the same thing since they are off limtis to kids.]

Miss Snuggles

Daphne loves cuddling up with pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals. Lately she has grown attached to her little piglet blanket and likes to hold it by her face when she goes to sleep.

New Kicks

I took the kids shopping to get new shoes for Daphne because her feet have grown. Somehow I ended up buying Spiderman sandals for Tyler too. His eyes lit up when we came across an entire window display of Spiderman shoes. The eyes on Tyler's new sandals light up and are crazy bright. I was backing out of the driveway at dusk and I kept looking both ways because light was reflecting in my mirror and I thought a car was coming. Turns out it was just Tyler kicking his feet!

Baby Sign Language

Daphne has learned a few baby signs at school related to eating: milk, more, and all done. She was doing her version of the more sign at breakfast. Of course, by the time I got the camera she wouldn't do it anymore. But as you can see from the video she has the universal head shake for no down pat.

The Popular 60s

Tyler must have watched a show that recently that mentioned something was popular in the 1960s because he has used several references to the 60s lately. The other day he was telling me about two of his matchbox cars and he told me they were made in "the popular 60s".
