Daisy Day

Yesterday the majority of Daphne's girl scout troop headed to Daisy Day at Camp Texlake, which is a camp owned by the Girl Scouts on Lake Travis. The girls had a blast and were all worn out by the end.

Ready to swim!

The water was a little cold in the morning but Daphne stayed
in the whole 45 minutes they were allotted.

Sweet Berry Farm

Daphne's grade went on a field trip to Sweet Berry Farm this week and we returned home with fresh strawberries as well as pumpkin seeds to plant in the garden to see if we can grow a pumpkin.

Lake McQueeney

Last weekend we headed down to Lake McQueeney to check out my dad and Mary's new pontoon boat, which my dad is calling grandchild bait.

Tyler was very excited about the boat having
a table to use for snacking.

School Carnival

The school carnival was this past weekend and was as fun as always. I don't have any photos of Tyler because he's old enough to run around with his friends unsupervised.

Daphne volunteered for half an hour at the booth where you
could have a kindergartener draw a caricature of you. Abuelita
and Abuelita were her first customers. There weren't a whole
lot of takers but the girls didn't mind coloring pictures.

The rope got harder to jump over each time they lifted it higher.

Go fish!

Life is good when you have a glitter sword tattoo,
pink and purple streaks in your hair, and candy!

Where is Daphne?

If you can't find Daphne, look up because she is probably in a tree.

Easter Weekend at Horseshoe Bay Resort

We stayed at the Horseshoe Bay Resort over Easter Weekend for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. It was a nice getaway and it was even warm enough to take a dip in the heated pool.

Tyler's favorite part of the weekend was playing mini golf
on the putting course with real grass, roughs, and sand.

Many of the greens required multiple shots to get near the
hole, especially with curves in the green.

There were a lot of nice water features at the resort.

Cotton candy bliss!

Night glow- the balloons inflate and light up but don't take off

We got up early for the balloon launch but the winds were too
strong for them to actually take off. One or two of them flew
across the field.

Daphne loved the bungy trampoline. She
tried to flip while in the air but couldn't
quite get enough momentum to do it.

Bluebonnets!

Safari Greg had some interesting animals such as this tegu.
